GROUND HOG DAY IS OVER
So what’s been going on? Well,
I’ve been back in North Dakota for the time past since the last update.
Training has been a big part of the time, but I end ed up with an injury
that I’ve been dealing with since my trip to the West Coast. I have
several micro tears in my simimembranosis. Help me if I spelled that
wrong, it mean hamstring. I have been in physical therapy for the past
3 weeks in an attempt to heal up. I can’t say that it is working
though. It’s good while I’m riding, but any other time is painful.
Riding in vehicles is very painful, and that makes trips to races
difficult. According to the recommendations of the PT, I’ve been
training and practicing light motos. I just couldn't hold out any longer
though, the first race of the NDMA series was today.
It has been a rough week leading up
to this race. PT doesn’t seem to help the pain in my leg, only the
mobility. To top off everything I ended up with a cold this week. When
we left for the race this morning I was felling like a 5-6 on a 10 scale
of my overall physical well being. Lack of rest and exercise had take a
toll on me throughout the week. All things considered though, I’m happy
with my finishes. I rode two classes, the 250 A and Open A. 250A = 9,
1 for a 4th overall. And Open A was a 2,1 for a 1st
overall. The 9th place is the odd moto, but it was due to a
bad tear off system that made it impossible to see where I was going. I
feel good though, I should be able to ride tomorrow, Monday.
